In one of the biggest deals in the world of cricket, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a multi-year partnership with renowned global sportswear brand, Adidas, as the official kit sponsor for the Indian Cricket Team on Tuesday, May 23. According to the press release given by the BCCI, the sportswear brand will be in charge of designing and manufacturing jerseys, kits, and other merchandise for India’s men’s, women’s, and U-19 teams.
The deal will come into effect in June and run until March 2028.
Adidas will have exclusive rights to design and manufacture kits across all formats of the game and will be the sole supplier for all match, training, and travel wear for the men’s, women’s, and youth teams.
Team India will be seen wearing the Adidas kit for the very first time in the 2nd edition of the ICC World Test Championship final, which will be played at The Oval in London.
The BCCI also released a video to mark the historic partnership, in which they gave emphasis to Adidas’s tagline, “Impossible is Nothing,” showcasing the history of Indian cricket along with it.

Speaking on this deal, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said, “We are committed to helping grow the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world’s leading sportswear brands, Adidas, in this journey. With its rich historical legacy in sports, world-class products, and strong global reach, Adidas will play an important role in driving the performance and future success of different categories of Indian cricket”.
Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden also said, “We are proud to partner with BCCI and Team India, the most iconic team in India. Cricket is the most important sport in India, and it is very important for us to be visible and invest in it. We could not have found a better partner than BCCI. I believe India will be the fastest growing sports market for the next decades. We are very committed to supporting our team to become the best sports brand in India”, about this deal.
Adidas is also the kit sponsor for major sporting teams, including the current FIFA World Cup winner Argentina as well as previous winners like Spain and Germany.
In addition to providing kits to the national men’s, women’s, and U-19 teams, Adidas will also manufacture kits for the India “A” men’s and women’s national teams, India “B” men’s and women’s national teams, their coaches, and staff.
