Jordan Brand is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3 silhouette, an iconic basketball shoe that was known for mending Michael Jordan’s relationship with Nike. For the sneaker’s birthday next year, Jordan Brand is launching the Air Jordan 1 in ‘True Blue’ to pay homage to one of the sneaker’s most iconic colorways.
The sneaker features a mixture of ‘True Blue’ and ‘Cement Gray’ tones, with the blue shade covering the front half of the sneaker as well as the detailing. ‘Cement Gray’ hits the back of the silhouette, covering the rear overlays in addition to the bottom of the rubber outsole. This silhouette removes the Air Jordan 3’s signature elephant print — one of the only deviations from the original — and swaps out the leather collar flaps and heels for suede instead.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘True Blue’ launches in January 2023, but no official release date has been confirmed as of yet. The sneaker is predicted to cost $180 USD.
